About Project

Main Objective:

To increase the knowledge and skills of students with special needs and educators on occupational health and safety (OSH) throughout our project.

Specific Objectives:By the end of 12 months, to increase the awareness of at least 50 students with special needs on risks and hazards in the workplace by 30%. In the first 3 months, develop at least 1 effective method and technique to address the gaps in OHS knowledge of special education teachers in partner schools.

In the first 6 months, increase awareness of special education students on OHS by 20% by creating audiovisual interactive learning materials (simulations, videos, etc.). In the first 9 months, develop at least 2 solution proposals for OHS problems of disadvantaged individuals for all stakeholders.

At the end of 12 months, exchange at least 1 good practice on OHS between partners.Organizing 1 online seminar for the families of individuals with special needs in the first 9 months to reduce their concerns about their workplace by 20%. Excepted outcomes: By the end of 12 months, awareness of at least 50 students with special needs about risks and hazards in the workplace will increase by 30%. Students will specialize in basic OHS related topics.Teachers’ OHS deficiencies identified in the first 3 months will be addressed with at least 1 effective method and technique to be developed during the remaining duration of the project. Teachers will become more competent in OHS.Within 6 months, OHS awareness of special education students will be increased by 20% by creating audiovisual learning materials. More effective learning materials will be provided for students.Within the first 9 months, at least 2 solution proposals will be developed on occupational health and safety for disadvantaged individuals. This will help to improve OHS practices in the school environment.At the end of the project, at least 1 good practice on OHS will be shared among the partners. This will help all partner schools to improve their OHS practices. Within 9 months, the anxiety of families of individuals with special needs will be reduced by 20% by organizing 1 online seminar on risks and hazards in the workplace.This project is in line with the EU’s objective of increasing employment and reducing unemployment and increasing the opportunity for students with special needs to join the labor force and combat unemployment as they become better equipped in OHS issues.The EU’s focus on vocational training and skills development will increase the attractiveness of vocational training by reducing parents’ concerns through workshops and online meetings. Developing an innovative perspective on OHS trainings and increasing the competences of teachers teaching individuals with special needs in Europe are in line with all the identified priorities. We will contribute to meeting the needs of our target audience and the development of teachers by continuously improving our activities with solution proposals and modules
